Introducing: Jae Depz
Jae Depz is a multi-genre DJ/Producer and writer who has collaborated with some of the biggest talent in the North and is a Music Director & Producer for critically acclaimed theatre productions such as Cashy C’s "Pick n Mix" and his own written venture, "A Tale of 2 Estates.
Jae's production portfolio is as varied as it is impressive, covering a wide range of musical genres from Hip-Hop and Drill to House, Bassline, and even Classical. This eclectic approach to music production showcases his unique ability to transcend traditional musical boundaries, creating sounds that are innovative, compelling, and deeply resonant with audiences across the country.
His journey in the music industry began over a decade ago as an MC in the local grime scene, marking the start of an evolving career that would see him running a music studio in Bradford. Jae's commitment to the craft extended beyond his own creative pursuits, as he dedicated himself to engineering and producing for others, mentoring emerging artists, and even teaching music in young and adult offender prisons. This dedication not only highlights his skills as a musician but also his commitment to giving back to the community and using music as a tool for positive change.
In the past year, Jae has returned to production full-time, with a particular focus on creating House music. This shift has garnered international attention, promoting his DJ mixes and tracks online and earning notable co-signs from some of the industry's most established DJs, including MK, TS7, and H ‘Two’ O. With his latest remix of ‘Asking’ by Sonny Fondera, MK, Clementine Douglas reaching 200k streams in a couple of months, Jae Depz has solidified his position in the scene.
